Where to find kmod-drbd

Hi,

I get one nfs pacemaker drbd cluster with two nodes to maintain and was forced to upgrade kernel. I do it on unactive node and after changing kernel from 5.14.0-503.26.1.el9_5.x86_64 to 5.14.0-570.28.1.el9_6.x86_64 drbd can’t start. I see that there isn’t new kmod-drbd package installed ( old one is kmod-drbd.x86_64 9.1.23_5.14.0_503.26.1-1) . But I can’t find new one in epel or anywhere else. What is the way to get new version of kmod-drbd?

Regards

Hi @tomislak,

You can install the kmod package version - kmod-drbd-9.2.14_5.14.0_570.12.1-1.x86_64

You can refer to the site “Kernels which shows the corresponding “kmod” package you could install for the kernel version that you have.

Please feel free to let us know if you have any other issues.

Hi,

I saw this info on Kernels , but don’t know how to get this package? Is this free or you have to have some subscription?

Follow “Download packages with your web browser, yum/dnf based distros”, rhel9, drbd-9, x86_64, Packages

Hi,

I already tried this but I get:

Hi Tomislak,

The packages site works if there is a subscription, else like all open source software, we would provide the tar.gz file here https://pkg.linbit.com/ You could compile it and install the rpms.

Thanks & Regards

Sorry, my mistake. I use that server for Debian public packages of drdb-9 and the Proxmox VE plugin, and they are unrestricted; I didn’t realise that the RPM ones were restricted.

Hi @tomislak

I wanted to just add an extra detail.

The LINBIT packages for Ubuntu are free to download and install if you follow this guide.

https://launchpad.net/\~linbit/+archive/ubuntu/linbit-drbd9-stack

Ack. Although if you’re using Proxmox VE then it’s better to use the Linbit repo:
