**Hi everyone,**

I’m relatively new to using LINSTOR, so please bear with me! 😊

I’ve set up a cluster with 4 nodes on Proxmox and followed the instructions from the LINSTOR documentation:

> **[LINSTOR 1.0 en](https://linbit.com/drbd-user-guide/linstor-guide-1_0-en/#s-linstor_ha)**
>
> The LINSTOR User’s Guide 2025-01-16 14:07:04 UTC Please Read This First This guide is intended to serve users of the software-defined storage (SDS) solution LINSTOR® as a definitive reference guide and handbook. This guide assumes, throughout, that...

This allowed me to move the database to HA storage, enabling the controller to automatically failover in case a node goes down. I’ve tested it, and it’s working perfectly.

Now, I’m struggling to figure out the most effective way to upgrade this cluster to a new DRBD version.

Does anyone have detailed insights or advice on this process?

Thanks in advance!

Kind regards

Good to read that you have been successful in your testing so far.

You might reference [this LINBIT blog post](https://linbit.com/blog/using-a-cluster-resource-manager-and-drbd-to-minimize-system-maintenance-downtime/) and instructions in it related to DRBD Reactor and system maintenance windows. Also check out the upgrading instructions from the _DRBD User Guide_ [here](https://linbit.com/drbd-user-guide/drbd-guide-9_0-en/#s-upgrading-drbd) for some caveats and upgrading instructions.
